Aimar & Ayala expected to stay at Los Manos

Roberto Ayala and Pablo Aimar are both expected to stay at Real Zaragoza for next season to play in Spain‘s second division. This news has come as a shock to Argentina Soccer fans who consider the quality of the players too good to play in that division.
The pair have told their agents to hold talks with Los Manos stating that they want to stay at the club and take Zaragoza back up to La Liga at the first time of trying.
According to the Spanish, Italian and English media, Zaragoza have put Pablo Aimar on the transfer list and would accept a deal around 10m Euros. River Plate, Lazio, Newcastle United and Panathinaikos have all made enquiries for the Argentina Soccer playmaker but as yet none have made an offer. Agent Gustavo Mascardi believes his client hopes it will stay that way.
“If the club wants to keep him, then he will stay,” he said. “That is what he is thinking and what he wants now.”
Although Aimar and Ayala plan to stay at the club at the end of the day the decision will rest on new manager Marcelino who may need to sell his top players to get funds to improve his squad. However he might feel that the Argentinian duo may bring the necessary experience to take the club back where it belongs.
