Argentinian Soccer has never been lacking in young talent. Look at the national squad today and you’ll see Messi, Aguero, Gago and Garay all under the age of 22! The supply line is forever churning out the next wonderkid or superstar and these are players that you should be looking out for as the next Argentina soccer sensations.

Jonatan Maidana - Boca Juniors - 22 - Strong defender who has really impressed since making his debut 20 months ago. Scored in a recent friendly victory over Guatemala and will be looking to make the Olympic squad this summer in Beijing.

Diego Valeri - Lanus - 21- Rated the top player in the last Apertura championship this attacking midfielder has been in the Lanus squad since he was 16 but has forced his way into the reckoning in the last 2 years. With 2 caps with the U20 national team a bright future beckons.

Diego Buonanotte - River Plate - 19 - Has impressed many pundits and fans alike whilst playing for the U20’s national team. Has only played a handful of games for River but has shown enough promise to be seen as one of Argentina’s future strikers.

Matias Fritzler - Lanus - 21 - Another one from the Lanus supply line. Fritzler played an integral part in midfield as Lanus surprised everyone to win the 2007 Apertura championship. With caps for the U20 national team it is only a matter of time before he gets a senior call up.

Pablo Piatti - Estudiantes - 19 - Striker heavily linked with teams in Spain, Italy and England. After an impressive season with Estudiantes, Piatti will be looking to win a championship medal before moving on to better things.
